Janos Visnyovszky is one of our young, talented film directors, based in Europe, in Budapest.
His interest in fashion pushed him in search of collaborations with creative people around the world: Nick Knight SHOWstudio, Alexander McQueen, Puma in London, Maria Mastori and Filep Motwary in Athens, Dano Alexander in Istambul, the ASVOFF Film Festival of Diane Pernet in Paris, ZOLTAN+ new media design studio in Paris and San Francisco.
Presenting fashion in different audio-visual forms, video-documentary or as an art-project, Janos loves to explore the world of media creating his own unique platform.
2008
After finishing MOME University of Art and Design in Budapest with MA Diploma, he directed "Icons of a Muse" of Inez Banyai's fashion collection, and later that month went behind the direction of "Vier Fuchse Vor Fuchsbau" featuring Filep Motwary and Maria Mastori's fashion show in Athens. The video was presented by "360Fashion" in Japan and later that year at Cyprus National Channel.
Janos had a fine collaboration with Hunagrian choreographer Zoltan Mozes of Kompania Dance Studio, filming and editing a contemporary dance performance "Everything for Nothing".
2009
In January, he was the cameraman and film editor of "Raptor Shine" directed by ZOLTAN+ of Valencia James's contemporary dance performance.
In February, his video "Real Myth" won the second prize of Chevrolet Hungary video-competition.
In March, another collaboration with designer duo Motwary*Mastori has as result the short film "Sophia", filmed in Athens and presented in "Dazed Digital" of Dazed & Confused in London.
In May, he was invited to the 2nd International Fashion Film Festival in Istanbul, where three of his previous films were shown. He was also commissioned to do a live video-installion during the Festival.
In September, his fashion video "Sophia" was invited to ASVOFF Film Festival in Paris, organized by Diane Pernet.
In November, he directed the film "Kifutoszalag" with twelve leading Hungarian actors, actresses for Kriszta Remete's fall/winter collection. The film was aired in December at MTV1 Hungarian National Channel.
Janos latest film, "The Kerub" gained much recognition at the RAW POWER video-competition, organized by Nick Knight's SHOWstudio in London, with Alexander McQueen and Puma's spring/summer 2010 collection.
